CNC Machine Operator

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our precision manufacturing facility in Pune. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain CNC machines to produce high-quality components while meeting production targets and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning, milling, and VMC/HMC machines according to job specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions accurately
• Load raw materials, select appropriate cutting tools, and set machine parameters
• Monitor machine operations, adjust feeds and speeds to optimize production efficiency
• Perform in-process quality checks using measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, height gauge, CMM)
• Identify and report any deviations from specifications immediately
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of CNC machines
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate major problems to maintenance team
• Maintain accurate production records, inspection reports, and machine logs
• Follow all safety protocols, wear PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die Making
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience operating CNC machines (Turning/Milling/VMC/HMC)
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T symbols
• Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi CNC controls
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code programming basics
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments
• Understanding of cutting tools, tool holders, and machining parameters
• Good mathematical skills for calculations
• Willingness to work in shifts (rotational)
