Quality Control Inspector

About the Role

We are hiring a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to ensure our manufactured products meet the highest quality standards. Based in our Pune facility, you will be responsible for inspecting components, identifying defects, and maintaining quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of raw materials, bought-out parts, and components from suppliers
• Conduct in-process inspections at various stages of manufacturing to ensure quality compliance
• Carry out final inspection of finished products before dispatch using approved inspection plans
• Use precision measuring instruments – vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and CMM
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and quality standards
• Document inspection results, maintain quality records, and generate inspection reports
• Identify non-conforming products, raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and coordinate corrective actions
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment as per schedule
• Support internal and external quality audits (ISO 9001, IATF 16949)

Requirements

• Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-4 years of experience in quality control/inspection in manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and gauges
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Experience with quality management systems – ISO 9001, IATF 16949 preferred
• Familiarity with quality tools – 7 QC tools, FMEA, SPC, MSA
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes – machining, fabrication, assembly
• Computer proficiency for documentation and report generation
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
