Production Supervisor

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our shop floor operations in Pune. You will manage a team of operators and technicians to achieve production targets while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities on the shop floor across multiple work centers
• Plan and allocate work to operators based on production schedule and machine availability
• Ensure production targets are met in terms of quantity, quality, and delivery timelines
• Monitor machine utilization, cycle times, and identify opportunities for productivity improvement
• Conduct daily production meetings, communicate targets, and address operational issues
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and work instructions
• Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and planning departments for smooth operations
• Train and develop shop floor workers on processes, safety, and quality requirements
• Maintain discipline, attendance records, and handle workforce issues
• Implement and monitor 5S, safety protocols, and lean manufacturing practices

Requirements

• Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical/Production Engineering
• 4-7 years of experience in production/manufacturing with 2+ years in supervisory role
• Experience in managing CNC machining, fabrication, or assembly operations
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and shop floor control
• Understanding of quality systems, ISO 9001, and process control
• Leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of 15-30 workers
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methods
• Computer proficiency – MS Office, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
• Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi
