Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for skilled Assembly Technicians to join our production team in Pune. You will be responsible for assembling mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and final products according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies as per engineering drawings and work instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures for product assembly
- Perform fitting operations – drilling, tapping, reaming, and deburring
- Install bearings, seals, gaskets, and other components with proper techniques
- Conduct assembly quality checks and functional testing of assembled units
- Identify and report assembly defects, mismatched parts, and drawing errors
- Follow torque specifications and assembly sequences accurately
- Maintain assembly tools, fixtures, and work area in good condition
- Complete assembly documentation and maintain production records
- Adhere to safety protocols and 5S standards on the shop floor
Requirements
- ITI in Fitter trade or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 1-4 years of experience in mechanical assembly in manufacturing industry
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Knowledge of fitting operations and assembly techniques
- Understanding of bearing mounting, shaft alignment, and sealing methods
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and handle components
- Willingness to work in shifts
