Assembly Technician

About the Role

We are looking for skilled Assembly Technicians to join our production team in Pune. You will be responsible for assembling mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and final products according to engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies as per engineering drawings and work instructions
• Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures for product assembly
• Perform fitting operations – drilling, tapping, reaming, and deburring
• Install bearings, seals, gaskets, and other components with proper techniques
• Conduct assembly quality checks and functional testing of assembled units
• Identify and report assembly defects, mismatched parts, and drawing errors
• Follow torque specifications and assembly sequences accurately
• Maintain assembly tools, fixtures, and work area in good condition
• Complete assembly documentation and maintain production records
• Adhere to safety protocols and 5S standards on the shop floor

Requirements

• ITI in Fitter trade or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 1-4 years of experience in mechanical assembly in manufacturing industry
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Knowledge of fitting operations and assembly techniques
• Understanding of bearing mounting, shaft alignment, and sealing methods
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and handle components
• Willingness to work in shifts
