Welding Technician

About the Role

We are hiring experienced Welding Technicians for our fabrication shop in Pune. You will perform various welding operations to produce high-quality fabricated components and structures as per customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Arc welding operations on MS, SS, and Aluminum materials
• Read and interpret welding symbols, fabrication drawings, and WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications)
• Set up welding equipment, select appropriate filler materials and parameters
• Prepare workpieces – cutting, grinding, beveling, and fit-up before welding
• Execute welding in various positions – flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
• Perform visual inspection and ensure welds meet quality standards
• Conduct minor repairs, grinding, and finishing of welded joints
• Maintain welding equipment, torches, and accessories in good working condition
• Follow welding safety procedures – use PPE, maintain ventilation, handle gases safely
• Complete welding records, time sheets, and production reports

Requirements

• ITI in Welder trade or equivalent vocational training
• 2-5 years of experience in industrial welding – MIG, TIG, SMAW
• Valid welder qualification certificate (preferred – ASME, AWS, IBR)
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols
• Experience welding MS, SS (304/316), and Aluminum materials
• Knowledge of welding defects and quality requirements
• Good hand-eye coordination and steady hands
• Physical fitness for welding work in different positions
• Willingness to work in shifts and overtime when required
