About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven E-commerce Marketing Specialist to drive online sales growth through strategic marketplace marketing and conversion optimization. This role is ideal for a data-savvy marketer who understands the nuances of e-commerce platforms and can create compelling product experiences that convert browsers into buyers.
Key Responsibilities
Marketplace Marketing
- Develop and execute marketing strategies across major e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.)
- Manage sponsored product campaigns, display advertising, and promotional activities on marketplaces
- Optimize marketplace storefronts and brand stores for maximum visibility and engagement
- Stay current with marketplace algorithm changes and best practices
- Coordinate seasonal campaigns, flash sales, and promotional events
- Monitor competitor activities and pricing strategies across platforms
Product Listing Optimization
- Create and optimize product listings with compelling titles, descriptions, and bullet points
- Conduct keyword research and implement SEO strategies for product discoverability
- Manage product photography, A+ content, and enhanced brand content development
- Optimize backend search terms and product attributes for improved search rankings
- Ensure product information accuracy and consistency across all platforms
- Implement A/B testing for listing elements to improve performance
Promotional Campaigns
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns including deals, coupons, and lightning deals
- Coordinate with inventory and supply chain teams for promotional planning
- Develop compelling promotional messaging and creative assets
- Manage promotional calendar and ensure timely campaign execution
- Analyze promotional performance and optimize future campaigns based on learnings
- Collaborate with brand teams on product launches and special promotions
Conversion Optimization
- Analyze customer journey and identify conversion bottlenecks
- Implement strategies to improve add-to-cart rates and reduce cart abandonment
- Optimize product pages for higher conversion rates
- Develop and test pricing strategies to maximize revenue
- Create urgency and scarcity tactics to drive purchase decisions
- Monitor and improve key metrics including conversion rate, average order value, and customer lifetime value
Requirements
- Experience: 2-4 years of e-commerce marketing experience
- Hands-on experience with major e-commerce platforms (Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart, Shopify, etc.)
- Strong product marketing skills with ability to create compelling product content
- Proficient in data analysis with ability to derive actionable insights from sales and traffic data
- Experience with e-commerce advertising platforms and sponsored product campaigns
- Understanding of e-commerce SEO and product discoverability optimization
- Knowledge of inventory management and its impact on marketing strategies
- Familiarity with e-commerce analytics tools and reporting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
