QA Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to oversee our quality assurance initiatives and lead a team of talented QA professionals. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for defining QA strategies, implementing best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You will serve as the bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, providing quality insights and driving continuous improvement across all testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of manual and automation QA engineers, providing guidance and career development support
• Define and implement comprehensive QA strategies aligned with organizational goals and project requirements
• Establish quality metrics and KPIs to measure and improve testing effectiveness and efficiency
• Review and approve test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks developed by the team
• Coordinate testing activities across multiple projects and ensure optimal resource allocation
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and quality expectations
• Drive the adoption of automation testing practices and oversee framework development initiatives
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for quality-related risks
• Facilitate defect triage meetings and ensure timely resolution of critical issues
• Present quality reports and testing status updates to senior management and stakeholders
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices across the QA organization
• Manage vendor relationships for testing tools and services as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong expertise in both manual testing methodologies and automation frameworks
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing QA teams
• Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, qTest, or Azure DevOps
• Proficiency in automation tools including Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks
• Excellent understanding of Agile and DevOps practices and their impact on QA processes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management
• ISTQB Advanced Level certification or equivalent is preferred
• Experience with performance testing, security testing, and accessibility testing is a plus
