About the Role
We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team in Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services. You will work with cross-functional teams to architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that support our business objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud architectures on AWS platform
- Manage and optimize AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudFront, and VPC
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK for automated provisioning
- Configure and manage AWS networking components including VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLs, and Transit Gateway
- Implement robust security practices including IAM policies, encryption, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Set up comprehensive monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools
- Optimize cloud costs through reserved instances, spot instances, and resource right-sizing strategies
- Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions across multiple AWS regions
- Automate operational tasks using AWS Systems Manager, Lambda functions, and Step Functions
- Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy
- Manage database services including RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, and Aurora for optimal performance
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on AWS best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services
- AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or DevOps Engineer preferred
- Strong experience with core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker, ECS, or EKS
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, DNS, load balancing, and content delivery
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
