UI Developer

About the Role

We are hiring a UI Developer with two to three years of experience to build the front end of client web applications in Pune. This role sits between design and engineering: you will take designs from Figma and turn them into accessible, responsive and genuinely pixel-accurate interfaces. It suits somebody who cares about the difference between roughly right and right, and who would rather fix a layout properly than ship a workaround.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert Figma designs into responsive, cross-browser HTML, CSS, and JavaScript interfaces
• Build reusable UI components and maintain a shared component library used across client projects
• Implement responsive layouts using modern CSS including Flexbox, Grid, and container queries
• Ensure interfaces meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, including keyboard navigation, focus management, and semantic markup
• Integrate front-end components with REST APIs and handle loading, empty, and error states properly
• Optimise page performance including asset loading, bundle size, image handling, and Core Web Vitals
• Test interfaces across browsers and devices, and fix rendering differences rather than hiding them
• Work with designers during the design phase to flag implementation cost early
• Write clean, documented, maintainable front-end code with consistent naming and structure
• Participate in code review, both giving and receiving
• Maintain and improve existing client front ends, including legacy codebases
• Keep current with front-end tooling and browser platform changes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2-3 years of professional front-end development experience
• Expert-level HTML5 and CSS3, including preprocessors and modern layout techniques
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals — closures, promises, async handling, and the DOM without a framework
• Working experience with React.js or a comparable component framework
• Demonstrable eye for detail when implementing a design, with examples
• Practical knowledge of web accessibility standards and assistive technology behaviour
• Experience with version control using Git in a team workflow
• Familiarity with build tooling such as Vite or Webpack, and package management with npm
• Understanding of browser rendering, performance profiling, and debugging tools
