Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor with two to four years of warehouse experience to run a shift at our Pune facility. You will be accountable for what the shift delivers: orders picked and dispatched on time, stock records that match what is on the rack, and a floor team that works safely. This is a first-line management role, so you will be allocating work, handling the problems that stop it, and answering for the numbers at shift handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run a warehouse shift end to end, allocating work across the team and reprioritising as orders change
  • Own shift performance against dispatch accuracy, on-time despatch and productivity targets
  • Supervise, train and appraise warehouse executives and contract staff on the shift
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, and identify the process failure behind repeat variances
  • Plan and run cycle counts and support quarterly and annual physical stock verification
  • Enforce safety rules, run toolbox talks, and stop unsafe work when you see it
  • Coordinate with transport partners on vehicle scheduling, loading and dispatch timings
  • Maintain accurate records in the warehouse management system and correct entry errors promptly
  • Manage inbound and outbound documentation, including gate entries, e-way bills and proof of delivery
  • Report shift metrics at handover and escalate issues that will affect the next shift
  • Review space utilisation and propose changes to layout, slotting and put-away rules
  • Support internal and customer audits with the documentation and traceability they ask for

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a diploma or degree in logistics or supply chain management is an advantage
  • 2-4 years of warehouse experience, including at least one year supervising or coordinating a team
  • Hands-on experience with a warehouse management system or ERP inventory module
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, including lookups and pivot tables for shift reporting
  • Practical understanding of inbound, put-away, picking, packing and dispatch processes
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety requirements and material handling equipment operation
  • Ability to manage a floor team firmly and fairly, including contract staff
  • Familiarity with GST documentation, e-way bills and delivery challans
  • Clear communication in English and Hindi or Marathi
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary benchmarked to warehouse and supply chain rates in Pune
  • Clear progression from executive to supervisor to assistant manager, with the criteria written down
  • Training on warehouse management systems and safety certification paid for
  • Provident fund, gratuity and health insurance for you and your immediate family
  • Overtime paid at statutory rates, and shift allowances where shifts apply
  • Canteen and transport support for shifts outside normal hours
