Job Description

About the Role

We are hiring an Inventory Executive with one to three years of experience to keep stock records at our Pune warehouse honest. Your job is the gap between the system and the shelf: counting, reconciling, finding out why a variance happened, and fixing the process so it does not happen again. The role suits somebody who enjoys working through data to a definite answer and is comfortable walking the floor to check it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute daily cycle counts across categories, following an ABC-based count schedule
  • Reconcile physical stock against system records and investigate every variance to root cause
  • Maintain accurate item master data, including item codes, units of measure, batch and expiry details
  • Process stock adjustments with proper approval and a documented reason for each one
  • Track ageing, slow-moving and non-moving stock and report it monthly with recommended action
  • Monitor reorder levels and raise replenishment requirements to the purchase team
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual physical stock verification with finance and external auditors
  • Manage batch and expiry tracking, and ensure FIFO or FEFO rules are actually followed on the floor
  • Produce inventory reports covering accuracy, shrinkage, fill rate and stock cover
  • Analyse shrinkage and damage trends and propose specific process changes to reduce them
  • Support returns and rejection accounting so that returned stock is valued and recorded correctly
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for all inventory transactions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Logistics or a related discipline
  • 1-3 years of experience in inventory control, stores or warehouse administration
  • Strong Excel skills including lookups, pivot tables and basic data cleaning
  • Working experience with an ERP or warehouse management system inventory module
  • Understanding of inventory principles including FIFO, FEFO, ABC analysis and safety stock
  • Accuracy with numbers and the persistence to chase a variance to its cause
  • Basic understanding of inventory valuation and its effect on financial reporting
  • Ability to write a clear, short report that a manager can act on
  • Comfortable moving between desk work and the warehouse floor

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary benchmarked to warehouse and supply chain rates in Pune
  • Clear progression from executive to supervisor to assistant manager, with the criteria written down
  • Training on warehouse management systems and safety certification paid for
  • Provident fund, gratuity and health insurance for you and your immediate family
  • Overtime paid at statutory rates, and shift allowances where shifts apply
