Founding Contributor (Volunteer): Product and AI Research

ABOUT DECILLIUM
Decillium is a small, independent AI research lab in India, built around a long-term commitment to understanding intelligence. We pursue understanding first, and capability second. Some problems are too important to be guided only by short-term incentives, so we are creating a place with the patience and freedom to explore them.
Right now, we are building a product to support a small community who will use it. To build it well, we need a team.
A HONEST NOTE FIRST
This is an unpaid, volunteer role. We have no funding and no sponsor, and we won’t pretend otherwise. What we offer instead is meaningful work that real people will use, your name on what you build, and a team that respects who you are.
THE ROLE
You will own real pieces of the product, from the first idea to something people can use. You’ll be trusted with space, and in return we ask for accountability.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
– Take ownership of a piece of work and carry it through without being chased- Help build and improve the product for our community- Use AI and everyday technical tools to move faster and think clearly- Tell the team early when something is stuck, unclear or wrong- If you want to, pursue independent AI research in your own free time, with the lab’s support
WHO YOU ARE
– Curious about AI and technology, with a working feel for the basics and the everyday tools- Independent. You can work without supervision and you finish what you start- Aligned with our vision. We’d rather have someone who believes in the work than someone looking for any job- Honest about what you know and what you don’t- From any degree or stream. There is no experience barrier here
WHAT YOU GET

LOGISTICS
– Remote, flexible hours- Expected time: 5 hours per week- We welcome from all around the world- Start: as soon as the trial goes well
