Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cook role based at Romeo Lane in New Delhi. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Daily tasks include setting up and stocking stations, handling ingredients safely, following hygiene and sanitation guidelines, and coordinating with kitchen team members to ensure timely service. The Cook will assist in receiving and storing supplies, minimizing waste, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. The role also involves supporting menu changes, communicating with senior kitchen staff, and consistently delivering high-quality dishes to guests.QualificationsStrong culinary skills, including basic cooking techniques, knife handling, and familiarity with restaurant-style food preparation.Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards, with the ability to follow kitchen protocols and regulatory requirements.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple orders, and maintain attention to detail under pressure.Effective teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with chefs, servers, and other staff members during service.Previous experience as a Cook or in a professional kitchen setting; experience in casual fine dining or high-volume restaurants is an advantage.Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.Basic understanding of inventory handling, portion control, and minimizing food waste.Formal culinary training or certification is beneficial but not mandatory; a strong commitment to learning and growth is highly valued.
